报告内容:Previously based on a phenomenological model, it was proposed that the higher order topological superconductivity can be realized in a heterostructure with the two-dimensional topological insulator and the high-temperature superconductor. The Majorana bound states naturally emerge at the corners of the system. Here starting from a microscopic model, we restudy this system theoretically. In the momentum space, the four-fold rotational symmetry of the quasiparticle spectra is broken. For a cylinder geometry, the zero energy edge states may appear but they are localized at one boundary. For the finite-size system with open boundaries, the Majorana bound states only emerge at parts of the system corners. These results are significantly different from those obtained based on the phenomenological model. All of the results can be understood well through exploring the pairing order parameter and the anomalous Green's function.
报告人简介:周涛教授目前为华南师范大学教授,博士生导师。周教授2001年和2006年在南京大学物理系分别获得学士和博士学位,之后先后在香港和美国休斯顿大学从事博士后研究工作, 2010年到南京航空航天大学350VIP浦京集团应用物理系工作,2018年1月起到华南师范大学物理与电信工程学院工作,曾获得江苏省青蓝工程优秀青年骨干教师称号和教育部新世纪优秀人才支持计划资助。主持并结题国家自然科学基金两项,在研国家自然科学基金一项。目前主要从事超导体物理性质的理论研究,在Physical Review Letters, Physical Review B等权威期刊上发表论文20余篇。
